On Saturday, September 12, 2015, Gleaners Food Bank hosted the 15th annual Harvest Moon Gala at the Dallara Indycar Factory in Speedway, Indiana. Proceeds from the charity event went to help fund the “Gleaners Backsacks: Weekend Food For Kids Program.” The Gleaners Backsacks program provides a supply of healthy food to young children each Friday that’s perfect for the weekend, with the goal of making sure that kids never come to school on Monday morning too hungry to learn. 230 schools in 21 counties participate in the program, serving over 10,000 children across Indiana. Windsor Jewelry was the live auction sponsor, donating a stunning 14k white gold pendant necklace with a beautiful Tahitian pearl surrounded by diamonds as well as matching earrings. Windsor Jewelry also donated two beautiful jewelry pieces of Anne-Marie Chagnon for the silent auction. |
